Midtown Coffee House (Columbus, Georgia)

December 20, 2018

My husband and I have owned our “mom and pop” coffee shop for five years. We had the idea to expand our business with a mobile unit and began to explore our options. Our shop has historic character, so a vintage camper conversion ended up being a perfect fit for us. I stumbled upon Mark on a YouTube video in a local news interview, while I was searching how to renovate campers into mobile food units. He responded to my information request within minutes. We could not have been happier with the process or the product. We love our coffee camper!! Mark made our vision a reality, and his input and suggestions created the perfect design. He is very attentive to detail. We appreciated that Mark genuinely cared that we were pleased with everything throughout every step. His communication was great. He is so down to earth and kind, even though he's super famous to us!

It was an answer to prayer when I found Mark's business. I had been looking for years for someone to create the vision that had been in my head so long — and Mark just got it. He understood the vision and brought it to life better than I could have even hoped for. So impressed with his ability to make your personal dream feel heard, make it happen, then still continue to help anyway he can even after you’re done working together. It’s more than just a job to Mark, he truly cares about you as a person and the way he works will prove that. Thanks for everything, Mark! Loving my trailer!

I was happy to hire Mark for renovating my 60's Forester camper. Mark designed the camper to act as a pop up shop for 4 Hands Brewing Co. and also as recreational camping camper for my family when we go camping. MBJC achieved step by step updates, timely workmanship, and always made it a priority to stay in our budget while also delivering something unique. I would highly recommend Mark and his team to anyone seeking specialty construction, mobile business ventures, and more.

Harlem Java House (Atlanta, Georgia)

Late nights and Pinterest ideas inspired the idea of a mobile unit. We found an old 1968 Shasta Camper from a couple looking to turn it into a glamping project. As new owners of a coffee shop we thought going mobile would be a great idea. We found Mark through a previous client of his “Flights Coffee and Waffle Bar” and was amazed at the transformation of her camper. Loving the idea of something similar I decided to find the creator of such a dreamy little mobile unit! So, I called Mark and had no clue what I wanted but after speaking with him I was convinced he was the one to make this happen! Couple weeks later he was on his way from Arkansas to Georgia to pick up the Shasta! He had a chance to see our shop, feel out our style and was able to recreate a little rustic charm that is now our “JavaBago” Our small town is in love with this gem! Mark and Kelsey are amazing! Mark was in communication with me through out the length of the project with constant texts, Facebook messages of photo and videos of the whole process. Such a creative mind at work here…it’s truly a special skill! To be able to take my ideas of a rustic, bohemian, Mediterranean accents and make it a reality totally blew my mind! Kelsey and her finishing touches brought the whole project to life! We traveled to Arkansas to pick her up and the hospitality and kindness of Mark, Kelsey and the whole family really made it special! Thank you so much guys!!

Byrd and Barrel (Saint Louis, Missouri)

September 13, 2017

Mark built "The Nugshack" for my business Byrd & Barrel. To say he knocked it out of the park is an understatement. I am a big believer in letting the "pro" do their thing. Mark went above and beyond. I now have a custom built food trailer that is not only so functional that we can cook for thousands of people off of it...it is also gorgeous. People see it and they come running. Mark was professional the whole way through. He is also amazing at service after the sale. I have called Mark sooo many times doing the first couple events amd he always answers and walks me through what needs to be done. I couldn't be happier. This trialer will live at a new business that opens in October. When all goes well I'm hoping to have him build another one for me. If you want quality craftsmanship done by one of the nicest human beings on earth...call Mark. Get in now cause i think this dude is gonna be buried in business soon. It's already paying off and is one of the best moves I have made for my business. Thanks, Mark. Im proud to have my logo on your work...and Im proud to now call you a friend. Cheers!!!

Rosebud Ranch Wagon (Aspen, Colorado)

September 13, 2017

I met Mark and Kelsey in St Louis where he has worked on multiple projects.  As soon as we talked and I saw his work he seemed like the clear choice to help on a project I was considering.  But would he take on restoring an original, 19th Century covered wagon?  When I brought it up he was immediately enthusiastic and said he'd love to work on it.

Throughout the process he proved to be exceptional at his craft, professional, fair and always having great ideas about how to make it cool.  The end result exceeded expectations down to each painstaking detail.  In fact, most of the work was done by hand and using only tools and techniques in use in the late 1800s.

Amazing work, by amazing people.

Life and Whim (Traverse City, Michigan)

"I pretty much knew a few minutes into my first call with Mark that I had found the guy to help us bring our vision to life. We had a really clear idea of what we wanted out of our camper renovation, and it was clear that Mark and his team got it right away. We had a 1968 camper that we wanted to turn into a mobile bar and pop-up shop for our business. We're designers, so we could envision and document digitally what we wanted the camper transformation to accomplished, but we needed a partner that could execute that vision. Mark was detail-oriented, responsive, professional and fun to work with throughout the process. He met the timeline we set, and the final cost was what we had agreed to up-front. We love our camper and can't wait to Mark on another one!" -Jay Harrington, Life and Whim

Flights Coffee (Alton, Illinois)

"I found out about Mark Bertel through a previous client of his. I stumbled upon an

Instagram account that was showcasing a beautiful restored camper; looking into

restoring a camper myself I reached out to the business owner. Mark and I spoke on

the phone and I instantly knew that this was the guy for my project. Mark is a

unique person that has amazing vision and love for his craft. He poured himself into

my build and delivered a product that was truly a collaboration of both him and I.

During the entire build I was 300 miles away, which requires excellent communication and great trust. I received updates and pictures daily of my build and he allowed me to feel as if I was working along side of him. Mark always made me feel comfortable when asking questions and he constantly made sure that I understood all aspects of the build. He introduced me to his team of workers, which made me feel comfortable with all the hands that worked on my coffee camper. If I ever had a concern Mark was extremely patient with me, fully understanding that my vision was most important. Mark Bertel is not just a talented craftsman and builder he is genuine and kind, these are traits that make him stand out among others. Working with Mark felt more like a partnership than hired job. Mark has a niche in this industry and he continues to kick in the ceiling and learn more. If given the opportunity, I would love to work with him again. Mark put skin on my vision and made it a reality, for that he isn’t just a construction company but a dream maker." -Holly Neeley, Owner

The Normal Brand (Saint Louis, Missouri)

"After only meeting Mark once he was immediately in contact with me about building our mobile clothing store. From start to finish Mark was on top of everything, sending updates daily, consulting with me daily, and always getting approval before certain aspects of design. We had a set budget and Mark achieved staying within that budget. I have since hired Mark for various projects and have been pleased, I would refer Mark to anyone." -Jimmy Sansone
